ZENTANGLE
The art of Zentangle was created by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts. It is in art form which can be enjoyed by any age group and can be accomplished by anyone who has the ability to hold a pen. In other words – You don’t have to be an artist! Rick and Maria say,”Anything is possible one stroke at a time.” and that is certainly true of Zentangle.
First Zentangle Class
Classes are offered by Marie Hornback, a certified Zentangle teacher. Check the schedule on the class page for upcoming classes. Supplies are also available through our website: Zentangle kits, Zentangle tiles (white and black), Sakura Micron pens, white jelly roll pens, sketch books, and Zentangle instruction books. CALLIGRAPHY
Marie offers classes in calligraphy – both broad pen and pointed pen hands. Learn the disciplines of ancient letter forms or the flowing, delicate pointed pen scripts of Spencerian and Copperplate. Classes consist of three consecutive sessions. Check out the schedule on our class page for upcoming classes. Calligraphy classes cost $55 per person for the three classes, plus the cost of any necessary supplies: calligraphy pens, notebooks, paper, etc.
CALLIGRAPHY SERVICES
We will be happy to address your wedding envelopes, Christmas cards, or envelopes for any social event. We will also write a letter, poem, scripture verse, etc., suitable for framing, in the hand of your choice. We have samples available to assist with your selection. handwriting certainly presents a positive or negative impression. Putting pen to paper records your personality in words and can be treasured for many years.
We teach the Getty-Dubay cursive italic style of handwriting or the Sull’s Handwriting System: American Cursive Handwriting style for those who want a clean, legible script. Sull’s System is comparable to the Palmer method and is a contemporary derivative of Spencerian.
